Welcome to the Bugservatory, an exciting new exhibit where visitors can get an up-close look at a fascinating array of bugs!
You will have the chance to observe the unique movements, habits, and intricate details of various insects through magnified cameras. 

 

Interactive displays provide information about each species, their roles in the ecosystem, and fun facts that will leave you amazed.

Fall for Butterflies

See and feed the butterflies with sugar water sticks and enjoy some familiar activities such as the rubber ducky water slide!

 

Watch the Painted Lady butterflies flutter around and sip nectar from the flowers and juices from watermelon.

 

Learn what different butterfly and moth species do to prepare for and endure winter!

Musical Forest

Textures Treasure Hunt

This adventure invites children to explore the gardens and grounds, discovering various natural and hidden treasures. Children will embark on a self-guided treasure hunt using clues to find different textured items.

 

They will discover the unique textures of leaves, bark, stones, moss, and other natural elements. Some treasures are hidden surprises, offering fun prizes for those who find them.

Straw Bale Jumping Adventure

Get ready for an exhilarating experience with our Straw Bale Jumping Adventure! This unique activity invites children to leap, climb, and explore a large area with giant round straw bales. It’s not just about fun—it’s a fantastic way to build physical fitness and enjoy a one-of-a-kind sensory experience.

Mine for River Gems

Children will experience what it may have been like to pan for gold. As children sift through a flowing stream of sand they’ll uncover a variety of colorful river stones. Each child can take home the gems they discover as a keepsake.

Nature's Aroma Adventure

Step into our Nature’s Aroma Adventure, an interactive sensory experience where your sense of smell takes center stage! Encounter a series of scent dispensaries featuring a variety of natural aromas. 


Visitors are invited to take a whiff and guess the source of each scent. Interactive displays provide hints and fun facts about the plants, trees, and flowers that produce these wonderful aromas. It’s a playful and educational way to engage with nature, challenging your senses and expanding your
knowledge.

Moon Sand Exploration

Welcome to the Moon Sand Exploration Station, where imagination meets science in a hands-on sensory adventure!
In this interactive exhibit, visitors can play with and create using moon sand, a soft and moldable material that mimics the texture of lunar soil.

Test your children's senses and cognitive skills by having them close their eyes, touch & feel, then try to guess what they are feeling. Help build your child's communication skills by having them describe what they are feeling.
